David Knight - Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist

David is a highly experienced Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist with over twenty eight years of clinical work both in the private sector (at the Priory North London) and in the NHS. He previously worked for seven years as a lecturer on the MSc clinical training at Chester University. David specialises in the treatment of Obsessive Spectrum Disorders - Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) - especially Intrusive Thoughts (Pure O) and Health Anxiety.
He has a post graduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy and is an accredited member of the British Association of Cognitive and Behavioural Psychotherapists (BABCP) and is governed by their rules and codes of ethics. Alongside the CBT he is trained in the use of EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) a proven technique for dealing with traumatic memories and feelings. He is also a qualified Mental Health Nurse.
